Assignment: Analysis of a Thriller Film
Opening Sequence
Your task is to select and analyse
the opening sequence of a contemporary thriller. Your analysis should be in the
form of a Powerpoint presentation. You should be prepared to deliver your
presentation to the group and to take questions on it.
In
your analysis you must refer to these technical codes and conventions:
- Camera Shots, Angle and Movement
- Editing
- Sound
- Mise-en-Scène

Your presentation should include at least
10 slides. You should include and
annotate screen grabs, footage, sound files from your chosen film. This work will be submitted to the
examiner as evidence of your research.
