Year 12 media -Tips for your blog

Hiya, year 12

Here are a few tips on how to get the best grade for research and planning media coursework.

Each group will need to record the development of their project on the blog

o  This blog will be used to show evidence of planning.
o  Visuals should be included on your blog such as screen grabs, photos and any other multimedia.
o  Also you will need to include videos

You will need to include blog posts on your preliminary task.

o  Explanation of the task
o  Explain the 180 degree rule (images or video)
o  Examples of Match on action
o  Shot reverse shot (explain how you used it in your filming task) and what it is? With examples
o  What do you learn from doing your preliminary task? Answer the question

The minimum your scrap book should include is:

Visuals

Analysis of film openings

Photographs of possible filming locations

Location reports

Calls sheet / shooting schedule

Rough draft of script

Health and safety / risk assessment

Secondary research

(Logo/ titles) graphic designs

Animatic storyboard

Feel free to look at these blog students have made and achieved a high grade.
